Search and rescue start ‘rapid damage assessments’ in the Kimberley

Western Australia Emergency Services Minister Stephen Dawson says urban search and rescue state logistics teams have started “rapid damage assessments” on flood-affected regions in the Kimberley.

“Multi-agency clean-up crew comprising DFES staff and volunteers, and Australian Defence Force Personnel, has been mobilised to the region to start the huge recovery effort,” he said.

“134 rapid damage assessments have been completed in Fitzroy Crossing, Boorowa, and Junjuwa communities.”
