If you are squeamish or scared of spiders, you should probably look away now. If you’re both easily frightened and acrophobic, you definitely should, as people have been left terrified after seeing the “beast” a shopper discovered inside a shopping container.

You see, an unlucky customer claims to have found a giant creature after opening a delivery from China. But they also have a photo to back up their claim, as shared in a terrifying post to Reddit. And after seeing the snap, people have insisted the shopper needs to move house or burn the container that transported the creepy-crawly, which many believe is a Huntsman spider.

Posting to CasualUK as u/DUSTYDEAL, the customer wrote: “Unloading a shipping container from china. Came across this beast. Was around 4 inches wide.”

And people were horrified by the photo, which appears to show the squashed spider.

One person wrote: “I’d literally s**t myself.” And someone else said: “So that’s what I’ll be having night terrors about this week.”

Meanwhile, others recommended action. “Burn it. Burn the cardboard. Burn the pallet,” read one reply.

Going one step further, a second person: “Burn. The. Whole. Shipment.”

“Send it back,” another recommended. Someone else wrote: “….aaaand we’re moving house without that box.”

And perhaps the most drastic comment of all read: “Leave the house and burn it down.”

However, other commenters feared destroying the box would not help.

“That’s just it’s exoskeleton,” one responder thought.

And a different reply warned: “It’s the ones you DON’T find that you have to worry about.”
