Woman accused of fleecing employer
February 24, 2023
Bail conditions were imposed for a customer service representative who allegedly embezzled almost $150,000 from a Kingston-based logistics company where she was employed.
Shanice Harriott was ordered by Senior Parish Judge Lori-Anne Cole-Montaque to surrender her travel documents and a stop order was imposed. The details of the allegations were not shared in court, as the clerk of court only revealed that the sum of $144,000 was stolen from the company. Through her attorney, Vincent Wellesley Sr, Harriott did not enter a plea when the matter was mentioned for the first time on Thursday in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court.
She was made the subject of a fingerprint order and is to return to court on March 28 when the matter is for mention. The case file is not yet complete.
